Because I am neither completely inert nor vomiting! (Fingers crossed, natch.) Thus I shall attempt these dinners this week. Please note that at least two of them involve grilling, which means that the other adult who lives here will be doing the actual cooking, and the others are not exactly labor-intensive. I'm trying here, man.

Mon: Baseball game at 6 = kids' choice of leftover pizza or PB&J
Tues: Yogurt-spice grilled chicken skewers, green beans, baked potatoes
Wed: Beef Stroganoff, peas
Thurs: Falafel, roasted butternut squash
Fri: Grilled sesame ahi tuna, wild rice pilaf, carrots

I think I can, I think I can...

I just found out that one of Monster's favorite teachers at Cuong Nhu was the young man killed while driving by a falling tree last week.

I live in fear of our trees, two huge oaks that could take out my house in seconds. Every time I see a story about tree fatalities, I go through another panic about the trees, because really, what can you do? There is nothing that tells you which tree will come down when, and like Chris, you could just be right there in the millisecond that decides whether or not you live.

It's so terribly sad. He was a very kind young man, absolutely wonderful with the kids. My heart just aches for his family.
