I'm surprised Susan hasn't outed me yet, so I'll tell on myself. The other night at dinner, at a restaurant, I shot a total stranger across the dining room with a rubber band.

There, I said it. Get your jollies.

On to the menu.

Mon: Black bean/sweet potato enchiladas, rice
Tues: Grilled guava chicken, green beans, roasted potatoes
Wed: Roasted Butternut Squash and Bacon Pasta
Thurs: Skillet-glazed ham, quinoa w/sauteed apples
Fri: Arborio Rice, Parmesan, and Green Pea Pancakes (I'm undecided on what else to do along with this. Suggestions?)
Sat: Baked dill salmon, confetti barley

Geez. It's not like you asked if this was her first baby or something.

I'm coming over Wednesday.

Good point. But she did nearly wet herself when it hit her.

See, when your embarrassments are of the magnitude mine are, others have to work harder to impress you.

What was even better was your girlie shriek.

Was it on purpose, and if so, what did she do?

Of course not! There was a rubber band on the table, and I was sort of idly winding it around my finger. Pete said something and I sort of flipped my hand in his direction in agreement, and it flew off my finger. It shot FAR, and hit this woman in the leg. She screamed.

I apologized profusely, but I could not stop laughing. Of all the people you know, I am the LEAST likely to shoot a stranger with a rubber band.
