Taxes, taxes.
Apr. 3rd, 2009 09:30 amHave you done your taxes yet? We did ours last night, and although we were expecting to owe money due to the way we changed how we do it this past year, we don't. We'd saved back a little money to pay what we were expecting to owe, but we didn't take into account the $12,000 worth of medical bills I've had, nor my usual charitable contribution bonanza. Lo, we will be getting back some money so we can pay more medical bills. Whee! I'd rather go shopping, but I'll certainly take the ability to make some of these bills go away for good. :)
My leg is stiff and I'd really like to just sit around today, but sometimes I still feel bad telling the kids to just go play. I try to remind myself that they aren't going to be stunted and indeed will learn how to entertain themselves, but I still feel bad. I don't feel bad if I'm working on something, but when I'm just sitting here I kinda do.
I leave you with an Ezra joke, his first correct one, more or less: "Why him chicken cross playground? To get to another one slide!"
